Commercial transparency
Advertising Policy
Vesti.la may support its publishing work through display advertising, sponsored content, affiliate relationships, guide sponsorships and direct commercial partnerships.
This policy explains how commercial material should be identified, how advertising is kept separate from independent editorial decisions and what standards advertisers and partners are expected to follow.
Payment does not control independent coverage
Advertising relationships should not determine the conclusions of unrelated editorial articles, food guides, comparisons or cultural explainers.
Advertisers do not purchase guaranteed favorable editorial conclusions.
Payment does not make a business the automatic “best” choice.
Commercial partners do not control unrelated coverage of competitors.
Editorial corrections are not negotiated as advertising benefits.
Advertising must not imitate independent editorial
Commercial content should be presented in a way that allows readers to understand when money, products, services or another benefit influenced publication.
Paid content should not be disguised as an ordinary independent article.
Commercial labels should be reasonably visible near the relevant material.
Advertising should not falsely appear to be a recommendation from an independent author.
Design choices should not intentionally hide the commercial nature of a placement.
Commercial labels
How paid relationships may be disclosed
Depending on the format, commercial material may be identified with labels such as “Advertisement,” “Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” “Partner Content,” “Affiliate Disclosure” or another clear description.
The wording may vary according to the type of relationship, placement and applicable requirements, but the purpose remains the same: readers should be able to distinguish paid material from independent editorial coverage.
Advertisements placed around editorial content
Vesti.la may display banners, native advertising units, promotional panels or other advertisements supplied directly or through an outside advertising service.
An advertisement appearing near an article does not mean the advertiser influenced it.
Ad selection may be automated and may change between visits.
Vesti.la may not review every advertisement before it appears.
Advertising services may apply their own delivery, measurement and targeting systems.
Paid editorial-style collaborations
Sponsored content may use an article, guide, interview, destination feature or another editorial-style format, but its commercial nature should be disclosed.
The sponsor may provide factual information, images or campaign requirements.
Vesti.la may edit supplied material for clarity, accuracy, tone and reader value.
Sponsorship does not permit fabricated visits, tastings or personal experience.
Publication does not guarantee a particular ranking, traffic level or business result.
Truthful presentation
No invented first-hand experience
Commercial content should not claim that Vesti.la visited a restaurant, tasted a dish, tested a product, interviewed a person or personally verified a service unless that experience actually occurred and can be represented accurately.
Business-provided descriptions, photographs and claims may be identified as supplied information rather than presented as independent first-hand observation.
Commission-based links
Some links may allow Vesti.la to earn a commission when a reader makes a purchase, reservation or other qualifying transaction.
Affiliate relationships should be disclosed where relevant.
A commission does not make every linked product suitable for every reader.
Prices, availability and seller terms may change without notice.
Readers remain responsible for evaluating a purchase or service.
Sponsored hubs, sections and campaigns
A business, destination, brand or organization may sponsor a guide, collection, campaign or section of the website.
Sponsorship may support production or placement, but it should not be presented as proof that every featured business, dish or destination has been independently tested or endorsed.
Advertiser responsibility
Commercial claims must be accurate and supportable
Advertisers and commercial partners are responsible for the truthfulness, legality and substantiation of claims they supply.
This includes claims about prices, discounts, ingredients, health effects, certifications, availability, delivery areas, business ownership, awards, customer results and other factual representations.
Vesti.la may request clarification, documentation or revised wording before accepting or continuing a placement.
Extra care with safety and wellness messaging
Ads should not make unsupported medical or disease-treatment claims.
Ingredient and allergen statements must not create false guarantees.
“Healthy,” “safe” and similar claims should not be materially misleading.
Dietary suitability may vary by recipe, preparation area and individual needs.
Promotions must describe the real terms
Advertised prices should identify meaningful restrictions where necessary.
Limited-time offers should not remain promoted after they are no longer valid.
Discounts should not be based on fabricated comparison prices.
Material exclusions should not be hidden in unclear language.
Restricted advertising
Commercial material we may refuse
Vesti.la may reject or remove advertising that conflicts with the publication’s standards, reader safety, legal obligations or food-discovery purpose.
Acceptance decisions may consider the advertiser, destination, product, claim, landing page, creative format and surrounding context.
Misleading, harmful or unlawful advertising
Fraudulent, deceptive or materially misleading offers.
Content promoting unlawful products, services or transactions.
Impersonation, counterfeit branding or false endorsements.
Malware, phishing, forced redirects or deceptive download prompts.
Discriminatory or hateful material targeting protected groups.
Advertising that damages reader trust
Fake system alerts or controls designed to confuse users.
False countdown timers or fabricated scarcity.
Claims that Vesti.la guarantees a business or result when it does not.
Creative intended to conceal the advertiser’s identity.
Content that materially conflicts with the surrounding page or audience.
Landing pages
The destination must match the advertisement
An advertisement should lead to a page that reasonably matches the offer, product, service or information presented in the creative.
Vesti.la may reject or remove placements that lead to deceptive redirects, broken pages, unrelated offers, unsafe downloads, misleading subscription flows or materially different terms.
Advertising technologies may use data
Advertising providers may use cookies, device information, approximate location, page activity or similar technologies to deliver, limit, measure or personalize advertising.
The available choices and controls may depend on the provider, browser, device and applicable law.
No permission to exploit sensitive circumstances
Advertising should not intentionally exploit sensitive personal information, serious hardship, fear, health vulnerability or another circumstance in a deceptive or predatory way.
Commercial targeting must remain subject to applicable privacy, advertising and consumer-protection requirements.
Placement and appearance
Advertising may appear in different locations
Ads may appear in headers, sidebars, article bodies, category pages, navigation areas, recommendation modules or other available placements.
Positioning may vary by device, page template, campaign, inventory and advertising provider. Placement near a particular article does not imply that the advertiser sponsored or influenced that article.
Ads should not make essential content unusable
Advertising should not intentionally block essential article text.
Close controls should be reasonably identifiable where required.
Ads should not create deliberate keyboard traps.
Audio should not begin unexpectedly where avoidable.
Mobile placements should not make navigation unnecessarily difficult.
Some placements are controlled externally
Outside advertising services may select, load and measure advertisements through their own systems.
Vesti.la may not control every advertisement, technical behavior or advertiser selected through automated delivery, but reports can help us investigate unsuitable placements.
Commercial review
Acceptance does not guarantee permanent publication
Vesti.la may review commercial material before or after publication and may request edits, updated disclosures, revised claims or replacement creative.
A placement may be paused, rejected or removed when it becomes inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, technically disruptive or inconsistent with this policy.
Why advertising may be restricted
The advertiser supplied materially inaccurate information.
The linked offer changed after approval.
The advertisement creates security, privacy or accessibility concerns.
A required commercial disclosure is missing or unclear.
The placement conflicts with applicable law or platform requirements.
Advertising results are not promised
Vesti.la does not guarantee impressions, clicks, rankings, sales, reservations, leads, media coverage or another business result unless a written agreement expressly states a specific deliverable.
Audience behavior, search visibility, seasonality, campaign quality and outside market conditions may affect performance.
Sponsored review rights
Pre-publication review does not mean editorial control
A sponsor may be allowed to review factual details connected with its own business, product or campaign before publication.
This does not create a right to remove accurate disclosures, invent first-hand experience, rewrite unrelated editorial conclusions or prevent Vesti.la from correcting misleading information.
Advertising and partnership opportunities
Available formats, proposal requirements and partnership standards are explained on the Work With Vesti.la page.
A proposal, payment discussion or initial approval does not guarantee publication until the final arrangement is confirmed.
Report a misleading or disruptive advertisement
A useful report should identify the page, describe the advertisement and explain the concern.
Screenshots, the advertiser name, destination URL and approximate time of appearance may help when an advertisement was delivered automatically.
